    Learning Independence from Experience

    Students learn life skills through a variety of hands on lessons in many subject areas. The goal with every assignment is to help each student be independent and employable.

    Daily Jobs Class

    Students perform various jobs every morning throughout the school building.  Students make and deliver copies to high school, middle school and elementary staff.  In the kitchen, students put away stock, use commercial dishwasher, fill vending machines and help with food preparation.

    Students are working on money skills, adding money totals, making change. These skills will help them run the new student store - KHS Supply Store.

    Job Skills Class

    Students learn independence both in the classroom through Life Skills curriculum and while visiting area businesses.  Business owners offer tours and explain to students the requirements needed to obtain a job.  Students not only learn basic employments skills, they have the opportunity to network with potential employers.

    KHS Supply Store

    "Where the Buck Shops Here"

    The KHS Supply Store is operated by Mrs. Lint's class before school and during both lunches.  The store sells school supplies, candy, gum, Kingsley Stag apparel and more.  New items monthly!
